i would not recomend polishing your crank case like they have done in the picture, only your exhaust port should be polished, all other ports need a rough texture, allows for better combustion and luberication of the bore, Wink

Ive herd theorys of when u polish the fuel evaporates with the heat & smooth surface.

BTW: what can u port on the 50cc 5 port polini barrel, it looks pretty well ported stock.

there is lots you can port in the barrel to get massive power gains Wink and different hitting powerban, polishing the inlet ports and crankcase is a big no no, fuel condensates on the polished surface, seperating the fuel and air mixture, however polishing the exhaust port will slightly help Wink

do you get rid of half of the wall on the inlet ports, & ive notice that the smaller port there is alot to port out too.

you have to be careful with that though mago, the shape of the transfer ports direct the mixture to the back of the cylinder away from the exhaust so if you change it too much by boring it out, it will screw it all up.

in saying that though the cylinder on the gp3 had a fair bit of meat i could gouge out of it while still retaining that affect. quite happy with how its running now Very Happy all i need is to determine if i should play with the piston itself.. opinions??

Speaking of pistons, why are some chinese ones domed & some flat? does this make it better combustion or what?
