this is a new denso w27 after the days racing, how does it look? too rich, too lean, spot on? bike ran good all weekend none the less. i was running 35:1 instead of 50:1 though.

its an 18mm dellorto with

- 50 idle
- 100 main
- w23 needle on the 2nd clip from the top
- 262 an atomizer (not too sure on that but its the one with the holes)

i might just do another plug chop with the 50:1 fuel then. that should richen the mix up a fair bit.

Glen,
As mentioned elsewhere running 35:1 is substituting oil for fuel and leaning your mixture. 50:1 is plenty to keep the bottom end lubed - particlarly bearings of which the high performance bearings (as used in the BZM and some Polini engines) are engineered to be operated up to 25000 rpm in a fine mist of oil.
The mixture 'reading' is done by looking way down inside the plug where the shell joins the insulator. Can't really tell from the photos about that, but the greyish insulator nose indicates lean. Use 50:1.
