12 inch rim troubles
Is there never any end to the dramas I seem to have with these bikes. Ordered a set of 12 inch rims with motard tyres to go on my new bike and have had nothing but troubles getting them to fit. The bearings in the new rims have an inner diameter which is bigger then my axle diameter. Can't go bigger on the axles to suit the bearings as the holes in the forks and swingarm will not accept anything bigger, tried for bearings to suit the axles but the bearing shop had nothing on the books to suit what I needed with the inner and outer measurements. Sold me so other bearings with smaller outer size and said to turn up some bushes to suit, did this and the rims still don't fit right with brake disk hitting the rotor and not letting it turn, also the new rear sprockets I got to sit the new rims are a different pitch and the chain wont fit them, starting to grow pretty sick of the constant setbacks and money that I have to throw at this just to hit the track.
Any suggestions or any suppliers I can try to see if I can find some rims with hbs that will suit the bike, have even considered taking hubs from the original rims and putting them in the 12 inch rims, but what a bastard of a job to do having to bend and size the spokes to suit......
starting to pull my hair out and wondering if I'll be ready for the next race.

well the wheels are sorted and all I need to do now is find some rear sprockets that will fit the rim, closer everday to actually making it to the next race.
