also cant help but notice the "chicken strips" on OLD SKOOL SPOOKY"S rubber

In regards to the chicken strips, I guess you mean the way the tire is worn on the top but not on the sides. I've not ridden a road bike in Oz, but from my experience of riding oad bikes in the UK, unless you are taking your road bike for regular track days, its pretty damn difficult, even with constant daily thrashing on fast, twisty public roads to wear your tires evenly and not wear it flat on the top. I've driven (in a car) thousands of miles in Oz, and could count on one hand the number of decent twisty roads that would allow you to wear your bike tire properly. There was one between the blue mountains and the hunter, and there's the great ocean road nr Melbourne, and that's about all I've found so far!! Add to that, going fast on public roads seems a bit socially unacceptable here. Or maybe thats just Sydney, I dunno....

nah when i had my GSXR1000 i used to wear the edges of the tyres out well b4 the centres

Best twisties I have been on are only 10 mintes from my front door here in Canberra, up in the Brindabellas, used to spend every Saturday out that way shredding tyres, then the kids came and the bike went Sad Sad Sad
