What a race!

Just like the 'good ol days' and as one other 'media identifty' professes - bring back the biff

. What a race!
If you have been used to the 'sanitised' racing by the likes of clean cut 'young gentlemen' of recent years, then that race was a return to the days of no holds barred racing action undertaken by the likes of Doohan, Scwantz, Rainey, Gardner, Lawson, McGee etc on non user friendly 500cc two-stroke missiles.
Had those passing maneuveres been repeated in any our races, the ensuing debate would engulf this forum up completely
Note: Those maneuveres were made by former 7 times World Champion Valentino Rossi. Us mere mortals should not think that this type of action should be considered normal or necessary. Casey fought bravely toe-to-toe but faced with the prospects of a determined 'madman' on a Yamaha he opted for the safer option - albeit succumbing to his own outbraking maneuvre and bringing his own demise.
